Discord is a Voice over IP (VoIP) and chat app for gamers that allows gamers to connect with each other for gaming purposes. Discord also has a feature called “slowmode” which is a Discord moderator-controlled feature that slows down the rate at which users can send messages in a Discord channel. This is useful for when there is a lot of activity in a Discord channel and people are sending messages too quickly for others to keep up. Slowmode can be turned on in a Discord channel by typing “/slowmode” into the chat box. This will turn on slowmode for that Discord channel and all users in that channel will need to wait the specified amount of time before they can send another message. The amount of time that users have to wait before they can send another message is set by the Discord moderator and can be anything from 1 second to 10 minutes.
