Discord is a voice and text chat app designed for gamers that lets you easily find, join, and chat with friends. It’s free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone. Discord also has a helpful and active community of moderators who keep the app running smoothly. So how much do these moderators make? Well, it turns out that the Discord moderators are not paid. That’s right – Discord doesn’t currently offer any financial compensation for moderators. This may seem like a strange decision, but it actually makes sense when you consider Discord’s business model. Discord makes money by selling optional premium features to users, such as customization options and extra server hosting space. Since Discord’s moderators already have extensive experience with the app, they can provide valuable feedback on new features and help to ensure that they are implemented correctly. In other words, Discord sees its moderators as an essential part of its development process, which is why it doesn’t feel the need to pay them. Of course, this could change in the future if Discord decides to pursue a different business model. For now, though, all we can do is thank our favorite Discord moderators for their hard work and dedication.
